If anyone is up in this God forsaken hour, Breezeline is up and down til 7 am. I just called and got a recording they're doing scheduled maintenance.

Yeah, I called them Monday after my internet was out all day, pre-recording said solar flares were causing outages.

Funny how flares strong enough to knock out Breezeline don't seem to affect any other service.
GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH (G1): A magnetic filament connected to sunspot AR3467 erupted on Oct. 16th, hurling a CME into space. It is not heading directly for Earth. However, a NASA model suggests it might deliver a glancing blow late on Oct. 19th.

Yeah. That's a BS excuse from them.

Reminds me of the old excuses from oil companies about 10-15 years ago.
Uh oh! A single oil rig in the gulf has shut down. Gas prices will go up $0.30 per gallon
Reminded me of the old BBS humor "Sys-Op From Hell" stories.

I remember years ago they always gave an update during October that Sunspots may interfere with the cable tv service. I think it was Western Shore Cable way back when (90s).

It's technically true, the best kind of true. Just like sunspots can cause your computer to crash. They won't, but they could.....

My internet used to go out on particularly warm/sunny days. They insisted it was my equipment for years. Then someone crashed into their cabinet down the street and after it was replaced I never had that issue again.

Anyone that has persistent breezeline issues needs to really press the issue with support and not take no for an answer. I finally convinced them after repeated calls to send someone out and sure enough the green box that serviced my street was covered in rust inside. Took a few hours to replace but my neighbors and I have had zero issues for years. This was back before ABB acquired metrocast so I am not sure if it's any easier/more difficult these days. It was still original equipment from when the neighborhood was built. I am one of the few satisfied customers these days it seems like. Only gripe is the price but Comcast has been laying fiber in Wildewood so the competition should turn into significant savings for me soon.

The problem with those intermittent issues is whenever support is doing remote diagnostics everything is working "fine" just like your car stops making that weird noise when you take it to the mechanic, lol.
