I am looking for a a place to host a bridal shower. I need some where that can hold about 30-40 people but not cost an arm & leg either. Any ideas?

Don't know where you live, but, try the Hollywood Firehouse, most of the church's have halls they let you utilize, we had a 50th birthday party at the Immaculate Heart of Mary catholic church on 235 and there where about 100 people. We did the catering for it ourselves but utlized the kitchen, etc there. Very nice. Most firhouses have areas for these type things, what they charge I do not know but worth a phone call.

Why not just have it at someone's home?

I think that someone's home is a good idea. Or maybe a community center that you can rent out in a development. Also, there's some hotels that offer rooms for rent. The Clarion will rent out a meeting room for this kind of party. Talk to Terry Pence there.
