Bridge closed.

Guess it going to be the norm for bridge closures and accidents with all the growth. I just can't understand the reason to do a study when everyone knows we need another bridge. I wonder if they will widen the bottom of the bridge or else we will bottle neck with traffic. I am curious with the results of the study.

How old are you??

All a study does is spend 2 MILLION dollars to come up with an answer that we already know.. 2 years and 2 million later, they'll say "We need a new span. Lets start the 10 year 50 million dollar planning process."

By the time I die, we MIGHT actually see a new bridge or an additional span, but I doubt it.

Delay. No money. We must do a study to figure out how to tax enough people to raise the money for building the bridge that everyone knows is needed.

They do a study so they don't start and have $25 million of 50 million spent only to find out something is not right and it cannot be completed, or it is going to actually cost 100 million.

Of course it really helps to have a competent engineering firm that does not miss design the bridge so that it needs to have band-aids and constant inspections. We already have one of those. We don't need another one.

Interesting note. I heard, fa cat or not, I don't know, that the principle engineer that designed the TJ bridge told the state that the design was flawed before construction started, but they went ahead anyway. Now that's a fine kettle of fish.

TJ Bridge is closed. Police say it'll take several hours to re-open. 4 or 5 car accident.

I left work at Hickory Hills at 4PM.... got home in CRE at 7:45PM... I saw them take three vehicles off the bridge... I was listening to WTOP because they were the only channel with traffic updates....

Alternating traffic.... that's what they were reporting.... bull hockey....

I sat in one spot for 2 hours................

I AM PO'd....................

LOCAL RADIO STATIONS SHOULD UPDATE LOCAL TRAFFIC REPORTS OR GET THE F OFF THE AIR>>>>>>

FIX THE BRIDGE>>>>>>>>

DON"T START BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION BEFORE YOU CLEAR OUT THE TRAFFIC BACK UP FROM THE WRECK....................

AN TO THE NINNIE WHO SLIDES UP NEXT TO ME JUST WHEN I AM ABOUT TO GET ONTO 2/4 AND THINKS THAT I SHOULD LET HER CUT IN...... TRY IT .... I WILL RUN YOU OVER........... IT TOOK ME 45 MINUTES TO GET THAT FAR.........
