Obviously it needs to happen. Look around military age kids have nothing better to do but side with our moslem enemies.
Maybe rehire those that Dementia Joe threw out over a experimental vaccine?

Why our military is already 100x's of times stronger and better financed and equipped than any other in the world.

I thought you were against the military industrial complex?

It would add workload to the good people that are already in. The conscripts would be mostly malcontents with little value to the mission so they would be admin loads.

If it was like that when I was in I may have taken carrier duty. Carriers were just to crowded back in my day.

Some were, some weren't I worked with some, pretty much like anyone else. Young and bitching like most of us were. I caught the beginning of it........ women were a bigger problem in male roles, many couldn't do the heavy work for the most part. Some excelled but still brought special problems.
Ashore and afloat, somebody else had to pick up the slack.

It's made out to be a bigger problem than it really is. And I say that as someone whose job has him in daily contact with active duty enlisted folks. I visit the shops and spend time on the flight line instructing, and these kids are just out there getting stuff done as always.

I think the bigger issue is a perception that the military is a bad choice with little to no future fostered by liberal guidance counselors who mostly have no idea what skills and strengths the military can foster in a person.

Wings, sorry, draft is a bad idea. A better one is a "term of national service" where the young person could choose how to spend two years. National parks, inner cities, military, whatever.

Young people whine that they can't make a living off their high end college diploma, but when you suggest they enlist and learn a real trade they react like vampires at Mass. Schools discourage military service because A) they're all a bunch of retarded progbots; and B) they don't want to give up control. The kid goes to college, that's 4 or more years of indoctrination.

Sounds good in theory but there are only x amount of those jobs available. Some of the best draftee's I knew were actually the best, usually college flunk outs that liked to party too much. They were smart enough to do most jobs. National service right now should be where they need you and my link covers that. NG's Possibly on the border to stop the flow of future democraps.
Unfortunately another war is on the horizon, Iran, Russia, China or NK......... you pick em and the Bud Lite guy won't be much help other than a decoy that won't be missed.
