Broadband in St. Mary's County?

Hi Barb,
If you have GMP cable TV, you may be able to get broadband internet access through a cable modem. I've been doing this since it first became available here a couple of years ago. It's expensive, but it's very fast and mostly reliable. All that may change soon, though, since the company that provided cable internet service recently went out of business and left it all to the cable tv company. So far, it's still working for me.
Other than that, you can look into isdn or dsl from the phone company. I've used isdn, but it was more complicated to set up and cost more depending on how much you used it. I'm much happier with cable.
