I have a Brother MFC3100c that is displaying the error message "Machine Error 34." I have tried to contact the Brother help line but after three days of being on hold for 40 minutes each time, I'm just a bit frustrated. I called to a local Brother service center to have them explain to me just what is this mysterious "Machine error 34" and how much will it cost me to fix it? They could not answer my question, they claim they must see the machine first. Yeah right, so they can charge me extra fees. Somewhere, someone must have a list of the codes, their causes and fixes.
I would rather go out and buy a new machine if it will be cost prohibitive to have mine repaired. Can anyone help me out on this one? Note: I'm not a geek, just you're below average computer user!
