Brothers Die After Falling Through Ice

My heart goes out to the mother and family-I heard there were 3 children who ran for help.
I think back on all the times I went out on the ice and my foot went through or both feet-had it not been for my brothers and sisters Lord only knows!

I see stuff like this and it makes me sick.. I know the stuff little boys do.. We push all the limits break all the rules.. I just hope when faced with certain situations I have given my child the knowledge to make the right decisions...

What a tragic loss.....

Seems me, Gumby and Prchjrkr used to go skating every winter on Muddy Creek in Coltons Point. I fell through once while jumping near a thawed opening but was lucky to get back up.

The Potomac would freeze 1/4 way across too. We'd get pizzed because we couldn't get the duck boats out to go hunting. Now it never freezes. Damn global warming. :ohwell:

I am going to print the article and let him read it...

I know, we used to do it too Mike... My father caught me about 50 feet from shore one time... Let's just say the aftermath was not very fun...

Pops would have to go test it first. And it had to be like 6" thick. If it snowed, forget it because snow "rots" ice.

I do remember clearing snow off the ice with plywood so we could play hocky though.
