Pat, I'm sure will make some great points...

...because he is a true social conservative.

I would not call him an extreme isolationist. In fact, he is not extreme anything.

His points are well reasoned and sensible and a good analysis of Reagan v. Neo Cons. Had he become President in the Reform Party hay day, I would not have lost any sleep.

Buchanan has frequently been accused of racism and anti-Semitism.

I never liked him because of his holy-war views on politics and because of his harangues about AIDS supposedly being a punishment from God. He has every right in his own mind to believe what he wants about AIDS, but to actually tell someone that God is punishing him or her seems hateful and cruel. Kind of like Rosie O'Donnell telling her subordinate that cancer is punishment for lying.
