This commercial would have been funny if it wasn't a blatant response to the Dylan whatever controversy. "Hey, all you ignorant rednecks, drink our beer!" Remember when beer commercials showed attractive people doing things like parasailing, beach volleyball, going to celebrity parties, hooking up with other attractive people....you know, fantasy things? Yeah, the Bud marketing team can't see that anymore. You're either a hip cool trans/gay/whatever or you're a white redneck eating out of a watermelon. So what could have been a relatable humorous commercial is now an insult. You can feel the contempt coming through.

They never should have jumped into politics because now they can't do anything right. Their marketing people are so out of touch with the consumer - not to mention real normal humans - that there's no coming back.

Its no more than this....The commercial/representation with that transhuman was a failure...
Bud tried to save face by saying in essence, (yeah, we did that) on purpose to awaken the stupid idea we came up with..!!!
Now lets get back to anything but Joe Sixpack.....

Remember back in school when some kid fell down in PE and made everyone giggle? He/She'd jump up and say, "yeah, I did that on purpose" !!

Yes their response has only made it worse, amazing that a bunch of college educated, highly paid corporate officers have let this get so far out of hand. The CEO and board need to GO, they have shown utter disregard for their regular customers and shareholders by trying to pick up 1% in new sales in a mentally defective segment of society.

Coors Light is pulling a Bud light.
Have read they are a co-sponsor of the Denver "Pride" parade.

I don't know if I agree. I watched the commercial before I read your comment below telling me to be mad and it seemed kind of funny. My immediate thought was it felt like a self-deprecating statement that "we all make dumb mistakes" (like falling asleep sunbathing, forgetting your shoes when it's hot, planning a picnic when the forecast calls for a storm, or overreaching with your DEI marketting).

I feel like if they went straight back to commercials of playing football in the backyard, tailgating, and bikini clad women on trampolines it would be more of the insult you are describing.

OK - so our customer base didn't particularly like being enlightened by our foray into gracing them with our LGBQTIPPASMAP++++++ campaign. So we're going to get back to our roots.

Here's a sampling of our average customers. Lets springboard off of that, and hopefully we'll be able to have our bonuses and buy a new vacation home this year and another Tesla.

Unfortunately, none of the women in this picture has a penis - if you can believe that - and as you can see our basic customer is a worthless shitkicking redneck hillbilly piece of garbage.

Lets make them feels special and get that MO-NAY!!

It would have been amusing and relatable before the Transheuser Busch fiasco, but now it comes across as contemptuous. See Tox's comment above....

I don't see them being that smart about it. I really think they can't portray normal folks as not being stupid. After the guy walking through the screen and the idiot with the hammock, it seems pretty obvious. Like the dumb dad smart mom thing.

I didn't see any problem with that commercial, and I am glad that Budweiser got the message they got from the public about the little fake fruit, but it's time to stop the BS now and drink what you like.
