if you will
On nice weekend nights, I may want to have a small fire in my Charles County MD back yard fire pit, but I want to ensure there are no state or local burn bans. How do I find accurate information on a particular day (like today)?
In general, it appears I can't light my fire pit from 6/1 to 8/31. And unless there is snow on the ground, fires are allowed only between 4pm and 12am.
The most up-to-date MD State status appears to be a burn ban was lifted on 11/24/2024. Could that be actually the last statewide declaration for MD?

Since we're continually in a drought, I'm always nervous about not knowing today's status. Do counties have their own status on the web somewhere?
