Burping a Dakota 3.9?

I installed a new water pump and hoses on a 2003 Dodge Dakota 3.9. I am not sure if I have all of the air out of the cooling system. I have filled the system and drove it with the heat on.
The "radiator cap" is located on the upper radiator hose and if I leave it open while it runs, it spews coolant all over the place. According to everything I have found online there is not a bleeder vlave on the 3.9. Any suggestions on how to burp this truck?

Thanks

Thanks CrashTest!
The video did provide some insight. Turning the heater "on" but not the fan was a good tip. Still looking for something more specific to the Dodge 3.9.

Thanks

fyi.. for anyone replacing a water pump on Dodge 3.9, when installing the pipe from water pump to heater hose: apply some Permatex Water Pump/Theromostat sealer or RTV to that pipe before installing and let it cure a few hours. The o-ring doesn't make a good seal and will leak. Bad design. Nothing more frustrating than fixing one leak and creating a new leak...

Thanks guys. I have a good process now. There was just so much air that it was causing the coolant to overflow, plus I had the heat on high. I am getting small bubbles now, with the fan off and RPM's to 2K. I am cursing Dodge engineers right now for now installing a bleeder valve!

Thanks for taking the time to assist!
