"President George W Bush has told the Israeli government that he may be prepared to approve a future military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities if negotiations with Tehran break down, according to a senior Pentagon official.

Despite the opposition of his own generals and widespread scepticism that America is ready to risk the military, political and economic consequences of an airborne strike on Iran, the president has given an “amber light” to an Israeli plan to attack Iran’s main nuclear sites with long-range bombing sorties, the official told The Sunday Times."

You finally post some good news. :faint:

Really a quite well conceived announcement. "Go ahead and plan if you like. Don't expect us to join in with the fun, though."

Straight forward, no ambiguity, no promise of something you don't intend to deliver. So Presidential, and a lot different than NObama.

Sure, let Israel do it. No U.S. invasion/occupation. Just remember, they'll be doing it on our dime not theirs.

Pinching dimes now? Or is this another of those Sorosisms?

Sorry, don't see the connection or the relevance. :eek:ut:

I don't recall any of our generals opposing Israel taking out Iran's nukes as implied by the Sunday Times 'unnamed Pentagon source'. My take on the article is the Times, as usual, is taking a cavalier attitude toward a very serious situation. Again, another unnamed source (single). Anything to spin opinion against a Republican administration. This should have been in the editorial pages instead of 'news reporting'.

Most folks are getting tired of the biased reporting and canceling their subscriptions.
