Although the statewide stay-at-home order is still in effect, it is not too early for business owners to begin planning for a safe reopening. To assist with reopening when the order is lifted, the Calvert County Department of Economic Development, in partnership with the Calvert County Health Department and Calvert Library, will hold a virtual meeting for business owners to discuss business reopening guidelines and best practices. The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 12 from 9-10 a.m.

Calvert County Health Officer Dr. Laurence Polsky will share best practices to reopen businesses and a panel of local business owners who have successfully implemented protective measures will be available to answer questions. Business owners can register for the event through the Calvert Library website at https://calvertlibrary.libnet.info/event/4291732. There is no cost to attend.

Business owners can stay informed about resources and assistance available at www.eCalvert.com/COVID19 and the Maryland Department of Commerce Business Express COVID-19 online resource at https://BusinessExpress.Maryland.gov/Coronavirus. For questions or assistance, please contact the Department of Economic Development at info@ecalvert.com or 410-535-4583.
