Busy weekend coming up!

My old buddy Rob at www.herringcreekfurniture.com is having an open house at Cecil's mill on Saturday. As far as I know they will be firing up the sawmill for demos throughout the day. Plenty of amazing pieces in the shop.

Southern Trail Distillery is hosting a two day Christmas Vendor fair at their location in Mechanicsville. According to the FB page, Sunday is supposed to be the "big" day. Either way, either day it looks like they will be packed with local vendors.

The LW and I are planning on hitting both of these this weekend and try to support local business and get geared up for Christmas.

He's the only one allowed to touch the sawmill.

If the rain is too bad tomorrow, he'll likely run it on Sunday weather permitting.

The LW told me that southern trail did cancel the Saturday portion. I have not verified but after almost 25 years of marriage and 30 years together overall, I trust her a little bit.

We hit up Cecil's and Herring Creek's open house and watched the sawmill in action today with 3/4 of the fam. Herring Creek has some absolutely beautiful pieces, Rob, and the other artists have filled the old mill with some amazing stuff. Unfortunately one of the pieces I REALLY REALLY want for my house is $1375 and I already have a spot for it.

Sunday will be spent at southern trail getting gifts and eating some stuffed ham egg rolls from Chief's and tasting some fine local spirits.
