Buy pics on CD, but need to download software

We took several pics and had them developed the old fashioned way, but they offered us the option to have them on CD as well to which we said yes. It cost another $3.00, no big deal.

But when I put the CD in my PC, it wouldn't allow me just to see or save the pictures, it insisted I install some Kodak photo software. I figure I have enough photo software, and just wanted to save them, but no....

Anyone know a way around this so I don't have to download their software to save them (other than scanning the pics individually)? I'm a bit of a novice at this sort of thing.

They may have changed the format of the CD, but I have an older Kodak CD that I can see the photos. Open My computer, right-click on the CD and select Explore. If it's similar to mine, you should see a Pictures folder. The pictures are in there, and are in .JPG format.

I'll try that, thanks GW. :yay:
