Buying a handgun

Now that I am a SC resident, the purchase of a handgun today was easy-peasy, like it should be.
Walked into armory
Pleasant staff showed me several models
Discussed my preferences
Picked one
Filled out form online
Instant background check done
Picked up ammo while waiting about 15 min for background check to complete
Paid for purchase
Walked out with my items in hand (well, in bags)

It should be that simple and easy in Maryland.

So, it wasn’t a concealed carry permit application? You just went in and bought a gun and ammo?

Thanks! Bought a home in Murrells Inlet. Kept my place/RV at the Port so I still have a presence in good ol’ SoMD.
I've finally about got my retirement fund boat about ready to fish and was hoping to connect with someone who knows the waters up there.

I fished a Catfish Invitational there about 20 years ago when the boat was configured differently, but Crown Royal shots after the event, erased most of my memory of the area. 😆

I will be back that way. You can always message if you want to go fishing and see if I’m in the area. There is a boat launch at the Port for residents and their guests.

Small world. My coworker loves the restaurant down there.

I'm sure I would too if it weren't for my stoopid shellfish allergy.:bawl:
The restaurant has an awesome view. I am probably considered a ‘regular’ over there. They have half price appetizers and $5 crushes on Wednesdays. You could go with your co-worker and get wings and a drink or two. Thursdays is the burger special.

But an allergy to shellfish sucks. 😕

If you're picking up your first handgun, start by getting comfortable with grip, stance, and trigger control. Dry fire practice helps a ton, and hitting the range regularly will build confidence. Also, make sure you have enough ammo for practice—buying in bulk is usually cheaper. You can check out bulk ammo for sale online to stock up without spending a fortune at local stores.

Meanwhile, here in the People's Republic they're not only not making it easier. They're making it harder by adding a tax to everything. All in the name of funding programs reduce gun violence. But just like Dorothy, they've had the answer the whole time. It's called locking up dirt bags who committed violence with guns.
