Buying a "new" bike in Ohio

And thinking of riding it home. Last two time I did this. W. Va and Pa, I trailered them home. Since it's Ohio, I'm not paying until I get there. Don't think I can get temp tags unless I have a bill of sale and title, correct? It's about 7 hours away, flying and riding home would be better if I can pull it.

Any knowledge or ideas?

And yes, it's new enough that I'm not worried about riding 7 hours. Only has 7k on it.

Is it from a dealer? if it is maybe they will let you use a dealer tag to get it home and overnight it back to them.
I would get on Ohios DMV website and see if they offer a temp to get you home. Its a nice ride from Ohio back to Md, I've done it many times on a bike from central Indiana back to Annapolis and St Marys Co.

Not a dealer. But found out the guy has a lien on it, which makes it a bit tricker, and it has two minor scratches. So I'm shifting plans. There's one at Kissel in Tyrone PA that is cosmetically perfect and has a slightly higher option set but not the $1600 top case with 3rd brake light and is part of the keylock locking system. I'll do that out of the proceeds of either selling my old 2008 or trading it.

Not as nice a ride back from PA as from Ohio, but oh well. I bought the 08 from there and we trailered it home.
