I hate buying socks for my son. I always lose them. They go into the wash and dryer and never come back. I don't understand it. I buy all the same kind of socks so its not hard to match them. Am i the only person who has this problem?

I also hate socks. I find them in the couch, under beds, in toyboxes, closets... I'm about to purge all socks and start over.

I am so glad my kids are still at that age that they need new socks every fall/winter. I did the purge earlier this summer for them.

keeping socks from getting lost in the washing process is easy (learned it in the service)
get yourself a knit bag or some type of small cloth laundry bag. put all the socks in it and safety pin it shut...
and wash the whole damm thing

I always find my son's missing socks around our trampoline, along with all the other neighborhood kids socks. My problem was trying to keep them white. I ended up buying him black socks, so you can never see the dingy stains

I toss all socks in August and buy all new ones, all the same kind. Easy matching, no fuss.

Put all the socks in the laundry bag with the zipper.

I throw away and start over. This includes socks, underwear, and under shirts. They get dingy, worn and lost.

In our last house, we were sure that the dryer kept eating our daughter's socks (our only child), as she was around 2 while we were living in that house & had those tiny socks. In was confirmed the day that it spit back out a little boys tube sock that must have belonged to the people that lived there before us! :lmao:

that is what i do with White T shirts and socks...I just go to Marshall's every month and reload...

Every month... holy cow! I would go broke just buying new socks and underwear for everyone. I do this a couple times a year, but every month... man, that's .

I designate an entire laundry basket for those that don't have a match each load of laundry or those MIA that I know I have "seen somewhere!" Then about 6 times a year, I go through the basket and all the sock drawers when there is NO dirty laundry in the house. In the end, whatever does not have a match gets tossed! It's like buying new socks, but not! My hubby is always amazed, just when he's starting to say, "dang, I need new socks," I produce 20 pair! :yahoo:
