Sifting through the ashes...
...we didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of beating the Czechs. I can't make an argument how we could have even tied them let alone won.
...we looked better against Italy but they scored our only goal and I can't say we looked like we could beat them either.
...our best looking extended play was against Ghana and the one penalty kick call was CRAP but, at best, maybe we tie these guys. They could have scored 3 or 4 against us.
The bottom line is I think only a handful of our starters would make the rosters of the tops squads and I doubt any would start. Ghana, Italy and the Czechs have several players that would star for anyone.
Fun while it lasted though.
