After running into our lives almost 14 years ago...our beloved Mr. Brown went to doggie heaven today.
We can only hope he had as much joy in his life as he gave us.
Bye old fella...we will never forget you.

Enjoy your furry friend's company folks. Love and spoil them every day you can.

My hearts out to anyone who's facing this in the future.

My pain and suffering came to an end,
so don't cry for me, my person, my friend.
But think of the living -
those souls with fur
(some who bark and some who purr) -
And though our bond can't be broken apart,
make room for another in your home and
your heart.

Sorry wharf rat.............

From a very sad week to devistating.
A day after our eldest pack memer left us, we had another one go to the vet today because he was having problems breathing. Noticed it last night and took him in hoping maybe a something minor.
Diagnosis...enlarged heart and we were to bring him back the next day for test and such.. About 8 hours after bringing him home he suffered a massive stroke and died in my wifes arms....it was not pretty.
We have lost two babies in two days and are devistated.
Spike was are smallest guy but he ruled the pack. He was with us for ten great years.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this thread for Mr. Brown and please folks hug, love, spoil and spend time with your furry kids. We just lost our second in two days and didn't see it coming until it was to late.

Just remember- they are ok now! And Im sure you gave them a wonderful, love filled life! :huggy:

Mr. brown hasn't even hit me yet...Spike is now next to him. I have 5 furry guys at my feet now.
My wifes crying outside with our lost ones ....I haven't had time to cry yet.
I had Mr . Browns grave getting tidy and instantly had to dig another hole.
I'm sure tomorrow in the middle of work I'm going to loose it....and then through out the next few days and weeks off and on.
We lost our last one on christmas eve two years ago and I still blubber up over her and others from the past.
Thanks all....hug and squeeze em while you can.

I know that another dog will truely replace your loss. :bawl: There was another post this evening about a dog that appeared to be abandoned at the Charlotte Hall WaWa. Maybe you can find out more about it and take it in. :howdy:

I think I'm in a state of shock right now...I just stayed next to my wife as she cried herself to sleep and I have a numb feeling that i'm not used to having ever.
It still hasn't hit me yet...it happend so fast I haven't had time to let it.
Sitting here now I just feel numb...and it's not comfortable.
I have to go to work in 3 hours and there's no use in trying to go to sleep.
I hope the dog mentioned above finds his way to a great home. Maybe we could help but we have some grieving to get over.
We had just recently contacted c.a.w.l. about voluntering time and are supposed to meet with them this friday to discuss the details.
We're going to be basket cases. I have a feeling that will be the day I break down and let it out. :frown: :bawl:
