Cable being trenched on Hawthorne and Ripley Rd?

Hi, does anyone know what type of utility is currently being trenched on Hawthorne and Ripley Road in La Plata MD? The trenching has nearly reached the Ripley Rd and Poorhouse Rd intersection which is 1 street from my house. If this is anything land-based broadband internet related I would be over the moon, as I have been on 3g as my main internet source far too long. I will try to ask the guys trenching tomorrow morning if there is a convenient opportunity to do so but so far there has been too much local traffic bunching up to make my stopping and asking safe. Thanks!!

I talked to the crew this morning, it's Fios! They have reached the Ripley/Poorhouse intersection. So much for the thread on here that claimed Fios was done being rolled out for good in So MD

Thanks! I don't see a February listing but they have run the length of Ripley, turned the corner beginning down poorhouse, and have run Annapolis Woods all the way down on one side and were starting the other side of Annapolis Woods this morning. This is all around the corner from my house so I am super excited!
