Cable snaps on USS Eisenhower during E-2C landing ......

We've been following this for awhile and its the first I've seen the video.. no idea the plane was almost full stop when the cable snapped.. I'm thinking older 4 bladed props they were getting wet.. wish thay had water line level video.. i cant imagine how close to the water they got before they started gaining altitude..

Are the cables replaced individually or as a set? "Cross deck pendants are 1½-inch-thick steel wires that stretch across a carrier flight deck and are used to catch a landing aircraft’s tailhook. The four pendants that cross an aircraft carrier’s flight deck are placed at 20-foot intervals and can be used for up to 125 landings, or “traps.”
