He said the guy he knew with a repair shop in the location you quoted had the CB handle Green Apple. He said his name was Wayne. He also said at one time there was a partner in the business named charley.
sound familier?

He seems to have disapeared. He's most likely making phone calls like we did.Speedy70 said:He's busy now racking his brain.![]()

greyhound said:Oh, I just thought of something...Maybe my Sneaky Snake was hanging around at that repair shop to much.
Speedy70 said:OK, this has indeed become the Twilight Zone. I just talked to my mom. She said the guys name on Old Alexander Ferry road was Green Apple. They never took their radios to a guy named Sneaky Snake.
I guess the CB radio craze was so big back in the 70's that maybe there were repair shops all over.
Ok...
I could see that happening.Speedy70 said:Maybe he tried to take over.

The guy that went into business with snake\wayne was named (real name duke) his handle was bullfrog...
The name Green Apple is very familiar... I dont really remember every little detail... but... I know for a fact that wayne/snake had the shop on Alex ferry road... Maybe they were all partners...

This very possible... Those CBers all knew each other. There was a big front page article in the 70's that featured my Sneaky Snake and a state trooper from Charles County. It was a word for word account of there conversations on the radio.mainman said:Maybe they were all partners...
His license plate said "snake"... I know Im not wrong about that...Speedy70 said:Maybe you have the early stages of Alzheimers?

Maybe he shortened it to Snake..after he found out about the other saneaky snake. It was an unwritten rule in CB world that two people not have the same handle. My Sneaky is/was very well know in the CB world all over MD, VA, DC, well the whole east coast. not to brag or anything.mainman said:His license plate said "snake"... I believe he used to invite people over to the house when he talked to them on the radio. Whether he knew them or not.greyhound said:Maybe he shortened it to Snake..after he found out about the other saneaky snake.
