Out of curiosity I checked ammo availability. Plenty of manufacturers making it...price around .50/round....but none in stock at the usual places I buy ammo.

I don't need to add another caliber to my mix...and they are not exactly giving those M1s away...

While it's a cool piece of history, the .30 cal is just too unique for me. I am saving up for either an SKS or a Garant -- as @Gilligan said, don't need another caliber.

Thanks. Unfortunately, right now, they tend to be out of availability everywhere I've checked.

Perhaps after the ammo and firearm binge die down.

Which one do you have? 44 or 45?
