Thank you Lusby!
There was a Calico that jumped out the window at Tidewater Vets last week that they say may look very much like mine.

^ They posted a missing kitty listing here.
There was one dropped in the drop box last week, but it isn't ours.
I didn't know the shelter had a 'drop box' for animals but they assured me the site is updated as soon as they are brought in.
Animal Listing It just loads so slowly.
I'm confused. Do you think the person who lost their cat at the vet picked up your cat and decided to keep it? Or is it a different cat?
Hope she comes home soon!
Per your PM...we will be looking for her back here and on the dirt in between.![]()
Is she home yet?
She never came home! She was never found!
The shelter called every 7-10 days after I put in a missing cat report but after the 2nd month without her turning up, they stopped following up.
Perhaps, one day, she will return home. I have never had an animal just run away!![]()
Awwwwthat's so sad.
You know Julz..... We had a cat that would often come to our door and just meow loudly until our Snickers went out. Snickers seemed to really enjoy playing with this other cat and she had been doing so for about 6 months….. She’d hear him meow and would run to the door wanting to go outside. I was under the assumption (I now know better) that the cat belonged to the people across the street, they were feeding it, and he thought the cat belong to me after seeing him meowing outside my front door.
Well, when Snickers went missing, so did this other cat. My youngest son went door to door leaving his phone number and contact information (and he was in tears for days – and really had many of the people in the neighborhood looking for him along with friends and relatives)…. They would even inspect every road kill.
Well, about a month later, the orange cat returned and he was completely torn up, open flesh wounds. The neighbor across the street trapped it and it ended up being put to sleep.
My son wants another kitten, badly, but hell would have to freeze over before he would allow another one of his cats to go outside. He wants one that has been hand raised and never been outside. The past year has been tough on us pet-wise... Our oldest Jack Russell has a fairly serious heart condition, our youngest Jack Russell had eaten wood and had to have an expensive operation, our orange cat cut himself on a nail after he fell out of a tree (nearly cutting himself in fricken 1/2) and then Snickers.
None of us could even begin to guess what got the orange cat. His open flesh wounds were down one leg and all underneath (neck to stomach) and seriously infected. The guy across the street took him to his vet and the decision made to euthanize him. The cat was in tremendous pain and I do feel that it is strongly possible that whatever got him, got her!
Our orange cat has to be shaved at least 1 time per year. He always looks like he lost 1/2 his body weight when all the hair is gone! I will say that I have never seen my son so angry and upset over anything before. He really does love animals and is the reason we have so many now! We have a tabby that is constantly up my butt. Our orange cat just likes to be left alone. And our Jacks, well, you have to be insane to own 1, much less 2.![]()
