Stop Staring!!!!!
Fireboard dispatching multiple units for the reported Gas leak at the California Target.
1831: Fireboard advises Store to evacuate. Store reports several people reporting headaches. Odor seems to be coming from the bathroom area in the front of the store.
More ambulances being requested simply because of unknown number of people affected.
Fire units on scene looking for initial caller and patients. No odor reported by Fire Units but requesting to have the Bldg. metered to confirm.
1836: One patient found at this time
1839: Still no gas odor found. Advising check adjacent stores and consider evacuating as needed.
1840: Still reporting only one patient at this time. Currently checking adjacent businesses for gas.
1842: Getting with the Manager and Maint. Personnel to see and check on what in the store has gas running into it.
One patient seen thus far has given a signed refusal. No odor reported in Dress Barn.
1845: Only thing in the area repoted to have gas running to it is a Hot Water Heater. Checking it now. Also checking for possible chemicals in the Eye Care Center.
1846: Patient advises they were working in the Photo Lab. Stores adjacent are clear thus far.
1848: Focusing on Chem room for the Photo Center. Nothing found as yet.
1851: Meters picking up something in the area of the Photo Lab supply room but no leaks present. Investigating further.
1856: Command advises every gas appliance checked, nothing found. 2 units remaining while the rest are returning to service. I think they are still looking in the area of the Photo lab. There was a request for 'Litmus' paper (spelling?) earlier but I don't think they found any as yet. Maybe they found a spill or chem leak.
1908: Not hearing much more on this. I stepped out of the room for coffee and might have missed something. If I hear more I will update.
1910: Source of odor identified. Evidently there was a Gasoline Powered Pressure washer being store is some outbuilding leaking. Pressure washer removed from Bldg. and being addressed by Store Employees. Fire responders clearing at this time.
1918: Hmmmm. Now they are dispatching an Ambulance back to Target as they have a patient reporting headache and symptoms associated with a gas leak.
1935: Units still on scene are in service now. Patient loaded on Ambulance and enroute to Hosptial.
