That won't apply to our dinner treads, right Vrai? Cause they're not for sale? Or do we have to calculate all that? I'm confused.

If it does apply, this will be my last dinner menu post.

Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce
Roasted Zucchini and Onions
French Bread
Peach Pie

And if you have a clue how many calories all that is, please don't tell me. I don't wanna know.

I am a avid reader of online menu fat/calorie count for restaurants and fast food crap. I'm amazed at the fact that fast food is actually healthier for you than restaurant "quality" food. I once looked at Chilis online nutritional content :faint: So sorry i did that. I can never go there again.

My favorite meal there at CHILLI's used to be country fried steak and gravy. Loved it. They stopped making it and i haven't been back since.

Since vegetables cancel out dessert, the only calories you have to consider are the spaghetti/sauce and the bread. Spaghetti sauce is made of tomatoes, which are a fruit. And fruit cancels out bread. So now you only have the meat and the pasta. So I'll estimate around 300 calories. :yay:

We're snacking around the world tonight. Monello is making lasagna for a party tomorrow, and I'm making Key lime pie, so we won't get around to an actual dinner.

Thanks so much. And I skipped the bread - only so I could have 2 pieces of pie. I think that cut my calories down, because again, fruit.

I LOVE a snacking dinner, but it doesn't fly with the men at my house. Lasagna - yum.

Tonight,

Grilled Cumin Chicken
Steamed Green Beans
Cantaloupe
Orzo Salad
Homemade Donuts

which, by your calculations, looks like zero calories. I'm good.:dude:

I completely ignore calories on menus. If I'm eating out, I already know that just about everything I'm ingesting is overloaded with salt, sugar, fats, and calories. I accept that. The few times I eat out make little difference in the big scheme of things. I do try to eat well the rest of the time.

Tonight was leftover quiche and a toasted almond ice cream bar.

I don't ignore them, but they also don't really play a big part in what I order. I generally don't like anything that's too goobery, so I'm not going to get the country fried steak with gravy or the chicken smothered in sauce and cheese anyway.

I love a good country fried steak, but always order the gravy on the side. I use a fraction of what they serve. Same with salads, dressing on the side. I hate food drowned in fluff. I want to be able to taste the food I order, not the dressing or toppings.

Made it myself, and pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

Spinach, bacon, Boar's Head swiss and onion.

Try Paula deen's hash brown quiche. If you like spicy, pick up the southwestern hashbrowns in the cooler or produce section in the green bag and use them.
