The Calvert County Sheriff's Office Animal Control Unit will be holding its third annual Amnesty Week for pet owners to purchase pet licenses at a reduced cost. The event will be held November 28 through December 4 and licenses may only be purchased at the following locations and times; Calvert County Sheriff's Office November 28th through December 2nd 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. and on December 3rd & 4th 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., North Beach Volunteer Fire Department on November 28th 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department on November 30th 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Solomons Volunteer Fire Department on December 1st 5:30 pm. to 7:30 p.m.
The cost for a spayed/neutered pet will be $3.00 and a non-spayed/non-neutered pet will be $10.00. A copy of the pet's current rabies vaccination and proof of spay or neuter will need to be provided to purchase the pet license. Cash or check will be accepted.
