The Calvert scanner and the feed computer is on a battery UPS, as is the router and the DSL line. also have a generator on standby. I'll do my best to keep it online during the storm for y'all!

Open mouth, insert foot. Calvert feed went down about 7pm. I will fix it about midnight when I get home from work. Computer probably rebooted, I just put new feed server software on it and I have not got it auto starting on boot up yet. doh!

Just noticed that Don's new rig is now sending information to the players indicating which frequency is being broadcast, i.e. Maryland State Police, fire, etc.. I saw the info displayed using iTunes and RealPlayer. RealPlayer seemed to be more responsive in updating the info.

Yep, that's the new feed software, "Proscan" .. Cool stuff. Lets me dynamically reprogram the scanner too.

The slot useage count has been running in the high 40's all day, just hit a peak of 51 users. There are now 100 slots (thanks David!) so getting on the scanner is easier than it used to be in um, shall we say, interesting? times like this.

Nothing out of the ordinary on the Calvert scanner yet, but I am sure by the end of the day things will be getting interesting!
