Just heard on Calvert scanner snow central to all plows to stop spreading salt. storm updated and changing to rain for the next 3 hours. Said the rain would wash all the salt off the road...

The Highway Dept. plow crews are back to salting and sanding, picking up where they left off.

Highway Dept. control just said that they want to start pushing primary routes only, with an effort to conserve salt & sand. They want to complete this push in three hours, which is when they expect the heavy snow to start.

Like, somehow, this isn't heavy snow.... sheesh. It's *ridiculous* outside, just did another front door shovel pass and pushed a solid inch of snow... since 30 minutes ago.

Just heard someone say to watch out for a guy in a black sweater walking in the middle of the roadway. He said that "he was almost a 10-45" (animal carcass_)
