During the week of January 24, 2022 – January 30, 2022, deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,160 calls for service throughout the community.

Damaged Property: 22-04063


On January 25, 2022, Deputy Contic responded to the 8500 block of Perch Court in Lusby, MD for a report of property destruction. The complainant advised sometime between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., unknown suspect(s) slashed four tires on a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. The value of damaged property is $800.00.

Theft: 22-03849

On January 24, 2022, Deputy Kwitowski received report of a theft. The complainant advised while parked at the BP gas station located at 10855 Town Center Blvd. in Dunkirk, MD, unknown suspect(s) stole prescription medication from the floorboard of the unlocked vehicle. The total value of stolen property is unknown at this time.

Theft: 22-03880

On January 24, 2022, Deputy Hendrickson received report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between Jan. 10 and Jan. 24, unknown suspect(s) stole a 2020 53ft Great Dane trailer from a property located on NB Rt. 4 and Flag Ponds Parkway in Lusby, MD The estimated value of stolen property is $20,000.00.

Theft: 22-04564

On January 28, 2022, Deputy Kwitowski responded to the 1700 block of Ball Road in Port Republic, MD for report of a theft. The complainant advised a package containing a truck tailgate handle backup camera was stolen from the mailbox outside the residence. The estimated value of stolen property is $500.00.

Theft: 22-04627

On January 28, 2022, Deputy Gough responded to the 6200 block of Quarles Road in St. Leonard, MD for the report of a theft. The complainant advised the front registration plate and bracket were stolen off of a vehicle parked outside the residence. The estimated value of stolen property is $50.00.

On January 29, 2022, Deputy Gough responded to the area of Southern Connector Blvd. and S. Solomons Island Road in Lusby, MD for report of an auto accident with property damage. Contact was made with the driver, Andrew Nickolas Fenwick, 24 of Mechanicsville, MD. Fenwick provided deputies with a fraudulent registration and a stolen registration plate was recovered from inside the vehicle. Fenwick was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Theft Less than $100 along with traffic citations.

On January 30, 2022, Deputy Aley responded to the 7-11 located at 15 N. Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick, MD for report of a subject trespassing. Deputy Aley observed Katherine Margaret Teacher, 40 of Port Republic, MD, on the mentioned property. Teacher had been issued a Trespass Warning for that location. A search of Teacher’s person revealed a bag containing a white powdery substance (suspected cocaine), four glass pipes with copper wire shavings, two straws, a spoon with burn marks, and a white powdery residue. Teacher was arrested and charged with Trespassing: Private Property, CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia

On January 24, 2022, Deputy Anderson conducted a traffic stop on Cove Point Road in the area of the Cove Point Self Storage in Lusby, MD. Upon making contact with the occupants, a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. The driver, Trevhon Domonique Bethune, 22 of Lusby, MD, advised marijuana was in the center console and handed over a bag of marijuana measuring 14.3 grams. A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun with a loaded .40cal Glock magazine and $713.00 in U.S. Currency. A passenger, Averyonna Dejana Wills, 20 of Brandywine, MD, pushed one of the deputies on scene, struck him in the forehead with her foot while attempting to kick the patrol vehicle’s windows out. Both Bethune and Wills were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center. Bethune charged with Concealing a Deadly Weapon and CDS: Possession of Marijuana 10+GM. Wills was charged with Second-Degree Assault.
