During the week of May 3 – May 9, deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,361 calls for service throughout the community.

Damaged Property: 21-24377


On May 8, 2021, DFC Cress responded to Dunn Cleaners located at 8052 Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach, MD for a reported destruction of property. The complainant advised upon entering the building, three unknown individuals were observed inside a closet of the business and fled the scene. Investigation revealed the closet door had been forced open, causing damage to the jam. The estimated value of damaged property is $100.00.

Theft: 21-23326

On May 3, 2021, Deputy Aley responded to the 2100 block of Dasher Drive in Lusby, MD for the report of a theft. The complainant advised 31 dark grey Trex decking boards went missing from his property. The estimated value of stolen property is $1,000.00.

Theft: 21-24165

On May 7, 2021, Deputy T. Buckler responded to 9000 block of Bay Ave in North Beach, MD for a reported theft. The complainant advised her rear license plate was stolen between May 5 -7th. The value of stolen property is unknown at this time.

ARRESTS

Kenneth Alexander Nunez, 28 of Baltimore, MD


On May 8, 2021, Deputy Dymond conducted a traffic stop in the area of MD Rt. 4 South and Dunkirk Way in Dunkirk, MD. While making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 152+ grams of marijuana and 3 scales. Kenneth Alexander Nunez, 28 of Baltimore, MD was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession of Marijuana 10 GM+.

Jennifer Kyle Gregory, 39 of Prince Frederick, MD


On May 3, 2021, Deputy Flynt responded to the Safeway parking lot in Prince Frederick, MD for the check welfare of a subject in a vehicle. Deputy Flynt arrived on scene and observed a female passed out behind the steering wheel. Deputy Flynt attempted several times to wake the female up, but the individual kept nodding off. The driver identified herself as Gigi Amanda Adams and consented to a search of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana, a folded $10 dollar bill with a white powdery substance inside, a clear baggie containing Fentanyl and four pills containing Buprenorphine Hydrochloride and Naloxone Hydrochloride. While in transport to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, it was learned that the true identity of the female was Jennifer Kyle Gregory, 39 of Prince Frederick, MD, as Gregory initially gave a fake name. Gregory was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, False Statement to Peace Officer, Driving Vehicle/Attempting to Drive Vehicle While So Far Impaired by Drugs and/or Alcohol, Driving/Attempting to Drive Vehicle While Impaired by Controlled Dangerous Substance and other traffic related charges.

David Michael Goad, Jr., 39 of Prince Frederick, MD


On May 3, 2021, Deputy C. Murphy and Cpl. Denton responded to the intersection of Solomons Island Road and Southern Maryland Blvd. in Owings, MD for report of a vehicle parked in the intersection. Units arrived on scene and observed an individual slumped over the wheel. Cpl. Denton attempted to make contact with the driver, David Michael Goad, Jr., 39 of Prince Frederick, MD, who ignored Cpl. Denton’s orders. DFC Callison arrived on scene with K-9 Reaper. A K-9 scan of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle revealed a hollowed-out pen containing white residue of suspected cocaine, a black Glock 22 .40 Caliber handgun and a silver Derringer .22 Caliber handgun along with two loaded Glock magazines. Goad was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Handgun in a Vehicle and two charges of CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.
