Before we went tonight I googled it to try and find a menu. What I got back was some pretty bad reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor, so I had a bit of an attitude when I first got there.
Greeted warmly at the door by a very nice young lady who directed me to IS and FF, who were already there. Our waiter Dean was at my side in less than a minute to take my drink order. He wasn't put out at all that the whole party would be straggling in over the course of an hour - "No problem, let me know when you're ready to order!"
We ordered wings to start and they were lightly breaded and fried, then drenched in a Texas Pete style hot sauce. Very tasty! Next came an out of this world cream of crab soup - tasted of sweet cream and had chunks of jumbo lump, no celery or green pepper to ruin it. I also got fried clams and could only eat a few of them because I was stuffed by that point, but they were very good.
Next we went to the bar, where Monique made me one of the best margaritas I've ever had. AND I got to sit in IS's special bar stool, which is quite possibly the best seat in southern Maryland. It reminded me of being in the Keys, sitting in a bar looking out over the water and watching the sun set.
It's not a fancy restaurant with 10 million entrees - it's a crab shack with brown paper table cloths. But the food and service were very good, and I'd absolutely go back.
Oh, and one of the Yelp reviews said that the bathrooms were filthy - that's not true. Everything was very clean.
Edit: I want to put Solomons Island in this post because Google will pick it up and searchers will find this review instead of/in addition to the crappy ones from Yelp and TA.
