I have a Hitachi Hybrid Camcorder that I cannot record to disc....It is the one with the hard drive and disc drive...I have checked the manual and did everything I should do but it will not record to disc any more...I am almost sure I am doing something wrong and it is simple but I can't figure it out...Anyone know where I could take it to either get it repaired or show me what I am doing wrong...May be the type of disc I am using...Thanks

If this is the one with the disc that sits in a cartridge...try flipping the disc in the cartridge and then reinstall into the 'corder....or another disc.
Not sure if that makes sense...with the disc installed it should choose the right path to the disc and not the hd, but you can check in menu options

No, there isn't a cartridge...the Mini Disc just goes in the corder....The button to turn it on has settings to go to HDD (Hard Disc Drive) or DVD (record on disc)

If it takes the 1/2 size disk, snapping a bigger disk in half doesn't work.
