Canadian Government or SNL Skit?

I'm sitting here watching the Canadian House of Commons on CSPAN. What a bunch of buffoons! At first I thought it was Comedy Central or something.

Yeah it seemed that way to me as well. I remember watching it prior to the war, where someone wanted to take a vote taking a stance against the war, and when it was mentioned they'd already done that, the person who suggested it wanted to do it again ANYWAY, because it "sent a message" of how strongly they were against it. Say what? I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

It looked like a high school student council meeting.
