I do not sell my dogs at any Market, I sell them from my home, I have a full business. I do not live in hughesville. Just wanted to make sure people do not confuse me with the person that this person is talking about. Thank you.
I just looked at your site and all the dogs you breed, but I don't see any of the health certs of any of your breeding stock, is that posted somewhere?
You also quote the color standard, and as quoted by the AKC: "Color:
Acceptable colors are black, lighter and darker shades of gray, lighter and darker shades of fawn, and red. Brindling is allowed on all of these colors. Solid fawn and red, including lighter and darker shades, have a black or gray mask. The mask does not go beyond the eyes.
There may be a white patch on the chest, throat, chin, backs of the pasterns, and on the toes."
Your breeder Ghost, while beautiful, according to standards shouldn't be being bred should he, wouldn't he pass on the predominant white color?
I also had a Cane Corso that came in that was white w/black spots and everyone again swore to me that there was no way she was a Cane Corso, but she was an owner surrender so they "knew" what they bought.
I have had 3 Bernese Mountain dogs come through rescue in the last year (2 just a month ago). I currently have 4 pure bred Cane Corsos in rescue with at least 2 mixes, we have placed 4 pure bred Cane Corsos in the last 2 years.
In the local shelters there are probably anywhere from 3-15 min pins at any given time. Great Danes come into the shelters in far higher numbers than should ever happen either.
Sorry - I am not against breeders or the rights of people to "buy" dogs, I am against people breeding or brokering dogs that have not had the needed health testing done on their breeders to try to ensure that the puppies the unsuspecting public is buying is as free from genetic health issues as is possible.
