Elliot procured a long-awaited Miranda Peterson update.
Of course, the Miranda Peterson story so goes that a lawyer on K Street was married to and a had a child with a woman who had fallen under the influence of some bad people. One night, fed up with her husband's devoted attachment to the child, she murdered the baby and served it as dinner to the completely unaware lawyer while screaming, "You loved him so goddamn much! How does he taste?" After the incident, the lawyer checked into a mental hospital and the wife was taken into custody.
Miranda Peterson is the fake name of whom Elliot later found out was the sister of the lawyer. Peterson was the woman that constantly called E's cell phone to try and find out where he had heard about the story, as all of the case details and evidence were supposed to be sealed.
How does Elliot know about the case? A listener that goes by the pseudonym Silent Partner will every so often provide Elliot with bits and pieces of real cases he is working on with his undisclosed organization.
So what's the latest in the case… the lawyer is being released from the psych ward and will move to the Midwest with his sister's family…and as for the wife, she is still in custody but will soon get an opportunity to spare her life if she assists caseworkers when they go after her 'friends,' a much larger group of interest.
Anyways, Elliot is supposed to have beers with Silent Partner in the near future, so expect more updates in the upcoming weeks.
