Canon Vixia HF M30

I posted another thread about whether I should get a SLR camera for video and stills or if I should go with a camcorder that does HD. I've decided to go with a camcorder. I'm considering the Canon Vixia HF M30. I've read reviews and they seem mostly positive. Does anyone have any advice on this?

I got as far as the first review on Amazon, which is a video review. The girl who made that gave the impression the screen was pretty nifty. But I know a lot of folks wouldn't like it because it would slash battery life.
