Hi, I need help. I am trying to help my grandma find King Po-T-Rik Syrup. She uses it to make molasses cookies. We have checked giant foodlion shoppers walmart and bj's with no luck. She wants 6 bottles. If anyone happens to come across any please let me know! Thank you!!

I found this information at King PO-T-RIK Molasses Value Pack 1 I just did a google search for King PO_T_RIK

King PO-T-RIK Molasses Value Pack 1
Price: Out of Stock
Out of stock
Item Number: OP-4
King Po-T-Rik is no longer making molasses. This product will be missed. To voice your concern, please email crinot@carriagehousecos.com to encourage them to start making the molasses again.

Thank you for the info! My grandma will be very upset! She is very particular when she likes something and has used it for years. Mrs.Dash changed their spices a few years ago and she was heart broken now this. It sounds dumb to some I am sure but when you like something you like it and don't want something else. Hope she still makes molasses cookie's because they are a family favorite! I will have to see when they stopped making it maybe someone still has a stash lol It sure would make her christmas!

Good luck, I'm not seeing anything in my searches except people searching USA wide and not finding it. Maybe check Ebay? One recipe that called for it used a split mix of molasses and corn syrup.

I just got off the phone with my grandma and she is very upset. She has been using the same cookie recipe for 50 years! Guess I am going to have to email them and ask everyone I know to email them. Maybe they will bring it back.

Found this info posted from someone on the Internet, it was dated 9/12/12:

King Po-T-Rik Molasses ?

I found this on epicurious. It is the manufacturer's
address and phone number. They will apparently sell
and ship 1-case quantities if you call them directly.

The big Amish Market in Golden Beach/Charlotte Hall, as you look to the left of all the veggies in stall is an Amish lady who sells bread, cookies, pies, jams, egg noodles, etc. If you request Molasses, real molasses not this syrup crap, she'll have for you by the next time the market is open. I buy Mason jars of blackstrap from her. That's for those of you who want real molasses, not the OP.

For the OP, I looked up the syrup that you want, and all it is is corn syrup with a "touch" of molasses, so just buy your Grandma the dark Karo syrup. It'll be almost the same thing and it's on every grocery store shelf.

So I emailed them. Sadly it is no longer available period. I did get a really nice reply email!

Thanks for your very touching letter. If I had a bottle of the Po-T-Rik Syrup I would most certainly send it to your grandmother. My own father-in-law who passed away at age 93 dearly loved this product on his pancakes and biscuits. You can read my story at this link, Serving the King.

While we are not the manufacturer of the product you have been seeking, we are the distributor handling the website owned by them and have forwarded your email on to them. We have personally received over 100 calls and emails from former customers of King Po-T-Rik Syrup wanting to know why it has been discontinued, and all we can share is that it was not meeting the minimum annual production requirement. I personally wish the company would at least do a limited production run on an annual basis around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays or maybe develop a new formula with some of the characteristics of the former product. Thanks again for sharing.
