Ew...I buy the Capri Sun Roaring Waters for my sons lunch because it's just flavored water.

I'd assume there is an expiration date or born-on date somewhere on the packaging, probably best to look for the freshest package on the shelf. I doubt this happens very often.

Still kind of nasty to think about, though.

I figured there was a thread on this. My daughter was just reading an article to me. I had Capri Sun in my fridge, I actually drank one about a month ago, they weren't in there long, the next day I was so ill, I thought it was a stomach bug, but now that I think back on it, I'll bet it was the Capri Sun. I won't buy them again because the article my daughter is reading says the company won't do anything about it.

I had it happen once, at my daughter's house. She buys them for her kids. My grandson said "Pop-pop, this doesn't taste too good." He was right, so we threw it away and got another one. Nobody got sick, nobody died, not a big deal.
