Car Clubs in/near Lexington Park

Any car people that meetup on Friday/Saturday nights somewhere to just shoot the ####? I'm not really looking for anything Make/Model specific, just a bunch of car people that meetup in a parking lot or something and talk/look at each others cars. Maybe a cruise or the occasional caravan up to MIR or to some show from time to time?

I had a club/group like this when I lived up north and we all become good friends, looking for something similar.

What kind of car do you have? We use to be in a car club when we were in the Army. We had a 94 mustang, miss her :crying:

there is a sweet club that hangs out at Target...but I think your vehicle has to be a minimum of 4 colors....

I have a 2004 Pontiac GTO, I was part of a GTO club when I lived up near Columbia but there aren't that many GTO owners down here.

There is at least one other GTO owner on that forum. You can also try Racer's Den - Home Page , they are mostly all in Maryland, some down this way, others in AACo and MoCo. Once the weather warms up there are weekly "cruise-in" kind of deals in Leonardtown, Prince Frederick, and North Beach.

Look , there are 2 different types that hang out there . The high school kids that thing there stuff is hot crap and come around and do donuts and burnouts or act stupid. Then there is a more mature group that use to hang out there . Which they have VERY respectable vehicles. I know a few of them. Yes there is kids with 4 different colors on there ride . But SOMDRACING.COM is not linked with the dumby's that do that crap !

Alot of the people on that fourm have really nice rides , and fast . The have alot of meets, track days, BBQ's crap like that .

ok...exactly none of the above were there Sunday night when I went to Target I said nothing about somdracing..i just said there was a variety of multi-colored cars in the Tarjay parking lot...

and yes..you are right...they act stupid.

I'd look on LS1tech at the regional forums and also try the Eastern F-body Association. Two decent sites that I've made friends from. It was easier than pulling into a parking lot and getting dirty looks because "You don't belong there." Been there, done that.

Other than that, it's either teenagers in crappy cars with oil blow-by and "The SHOCKER" stickers, or people in their 20's who should be at home with their wife and kid instead of trying to get 17 year olds to hook up with them.

No matter what they say, most locals that hang at Target keep to their cliques and will be total asses no matter how nice you are to them. It may not describe all of them, but in my experiences it describes most.
