Carafate

Does anyone else take Carafate? Is there a trick to this that I'm missing? It seems to bubble and disolve before I can swallow it and then I immediately have to spit it out. I've spit out more than I've swallowed. It does the ground, trashcan, truck floor, dog's head, etc... no good, not to mention its not very attractive. Anyone else know a trick to actually swallowing these, short of taking a shot of speed or something before hand? I've never had this issue before and have no "pill hangups" with swallowing ... I swear it seems like a mile from my mouth to throat, I can't throw it back fast enough before it starts disintegrating itself like crazy. I'm wasting more than I'm taking. Anyone else have this issue with this? Is there a trick to this?

Call the pharmacy where you got it from. I read up on it and you can take a suspension or pill. If it's a matter of it disolving fast then swallow it with water. Anything disintegrating that quick is toast when it hits your stomach acid anyway.

This isnt working, was thinking there had to be a trick to this. I do however think its supposed to disintegrate before hitting stomach though - this can't be that accidental . Its mush in 2 seconds. I'll call dr. tomororw and ask for something else - thanks!

I remember your orphan foals! Thanks! I just can't see taking this. I'm only asking for advice because I seriously have only been able to swallow a few of these.... my stomach is feeling worse, I try to take these but can't swallow them fast enough. Liquid form would be better! Thanks
