I hear the commercials for Carbonite Online Backup: Easy. Completely Automatic. Secure all the time on Sirius and am intrigued. Anyone have any personal experience you'd like to share with me?

No? OK, well, I just downloaded the free trial. I'll be back in 15 days with my review.
You trust some outside source with your personal info ?
otherwise it might have merits
that said I used to have an online service that allowed me to store 2 Gb of data .... it was great for storing small utilities that I used @ client sites ... I never had to worry where my Thumb drive was ....

Storage is cheap!
I'm not comfortable with having my personal data (regardless of encryption) stored off-site. Heck, you can buy a 750GB External Drive from Best Buy for $169 and perform the same functions. You can move it from one system to another, etc. The biggest problem I see with having it stored offline is getting to it. Obviously, you will need a high-speed internet connection, etc.
Anyway - that's just my 2cents!
