What's a good place in St Mary's county for carpet that is easy on the installation price? Been to lowes and it's a big no no on the price scale.

Don't get me wrong when I need things I go to Lowes just not a fan of how much they wanted to charge me for installation.

I have found the carpet prices
at Lowes to be reasonable.
But I usually hire someone else
to install it.

If you're already spending the money for carpet, give some thought to getting hardwood flooring. It's easier on those with allergies, doesn't trap the things that carpet does (think fleas and the like if you have pets), and will help your home value if/when you decide to sell. I'm about to put HWF in the family room, and after pricing carpet for that room, the cost for HWF materials was the same.

That is a good idea, I trust him putting that in himself.

We got rid of all the carpeting in our house. We have hardwood floors and ceramic tile (kitchen and bathrooms). :yay:

That's my objective as well. I'll leave carpet in the bedrooms, but that's it. :yay:
