Does anyone know of a good carpet cleaning solution that will get out stains? Not so much pet stains but stains from your shoes? I would like something good with pet odors as well since we have a 2 year old Jack Russell and now an 8 year old Jack Russell. Our carpets in this house are very light colored one room (spare room thank God) is even white! Not my choice, previous home owners but they get stained very easily.

But wait, there's more...
Spot Shot; you can get it Lowes in the cleaning supplies aisle. A lady recommended it to me there the other day, so I got it, tried it, and it took the stain outta the carpet faster than some banned forumites are reincarnated! It's an industrial strength product, and performs as such. She said she used it on a 2-yr-old coffee stain and it took it right out. It comes in a blue can w/an orange lid. :yay:

I just bought something called Resolve Dual Power. It has oxi in one part and stain something in the other. Works pretty good.

I may be up to that. She just makes me laugh. She has sooooo much going on. I know some spanish. My dad had some spanish people that worked for him. Most of what I know is not something you would name a horse, though.....

No, thank you. Very much. You guys are my survival team right now. :huggy:

Hang in there. I know how rough it can be. I was caring for my uncle last year at this time who had cancer and blood clots in the lungs. It is awful to watch someone you love suffer! My uncle opted not to take any treatments, he had lung cancer and with the blood clots there was no use anyway. I hope your dad is luckier than that and that they are able to treat his cancer! Just remember, each day is a precious gift!

We had some of this in the kitchen cabinet at my office. Why I don't know. Anyway, I took it home and it does work well! I will be stocking up on it with the new puppy and all. My only hope would be that I could buy it to use in a steam cleaner!

Thanks for the advice!

Beer is Good!!!!
OxiClean and Hot water

Yep, the stuff they used to sell on Television. It is available in most grocery stores.

Get a carpet shampooer and instead of soap, put in oxi-clean and water as hot as you can get it. Also, pretreat any heavy dirt areas / spots with oxi-clean and hot water out of a squirt bucket. Don't let it sit too long.

I have done this several times and it does work on shoe stains and on dog / cat stains. I have a dog.

Works like a charm. Secret is pre-treating, than hitting it with the shampooer / vacuum machine to suck it up. Keep the water hot, the hotter the water the more "active" the oxi-clean gets.

Good luck!
