Carry on....

Don't give up...Don't give in

With the rampant fires, super hurricanes, super storms, excessive heat, excessive cold, deaths and prolonged illnesses from COVID-19 and incoming flu season, the economic downturn, loss of job and income, broken relationships, loss of loved ones from other cause, etc, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and or lost in the fray.

But we have Father who promises to be a very present help in our time of need. This Father extends beyond our tiny universe, has demonstrated his love through his Son , Jesus Christ, who died freely on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, went to heaven, and will come again. If you believe the angels who spoke when he ascended, he will come back the same way he left. Hold that thought, hold tight, because that is some serious love coming from a Source bigger than a universe. As a believer, Father, Son and Holy Spirit are my Source. And is the source of my inner peace that passes my limited understanding. So don't give up. Ride this storm, because it's always darkest before dawn, right?

Here are some verses you may know that you can embrace.

When I feel like I haven't "made the grade", I am reminded of these popular verses.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (He isn't this aloof capricious God waiting to destroy me)

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Despite us screwing up daily, God loves us)

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God wins. And those with God will win as well. We are not limited to the here and now. There is so much more to our beautiful story, so hang on. Love in Christ...
