Residents near the Fukushima coast have been told to leave the area. Emergency broadcasters in Japan are warning of a wave of up to three metres.

First wave reported at Onahama Port, Fukushima
No damage yet identified at Fukushima nuclear facilities
Residents have been told the tsunami will hit repeatedly and to head for higher ground, or evacuation centres.
Public broadcaster NHK reports the first tsunami wave of about 60cm arrived at Onahama Port in Fukushima at about 6:49am local time.
