Cat Question

I just noticed that my cat has a lot of dried blood in her ear, the whole inner ear and it is looking really crusty where the ear meets face. I can't get her into the vet until Thursday but was wondering if there was anything I can do until then or if we should try to find a different vet to get her in tomorrow.

Outside cat?

Can you take a cotton ball or gauze (even a wash cloth) and dampen it with warm water and clean out the ear a bit and see what the problem is?

She could have ear mites, too, and be digging at her ears and scratched them raw.

No, she is a inside only cat. She won't let me get close enough to the ear to do anything with it. I'm a new cat owner so I'm not very savy yet.

Swaddle her in a towel before trying to get to her ear.

Take it to the vets. I thought ear mites two weeks ago, and actually found out my kitten has a tumor in her ear, and the vet has recommended that when the tumor really starts to affect her, I have her put to sleep.

I am so sorry. That is so sad.

I had to put my kitty down the other night :( She had renal disease.
