I have been to two weddings that were catered by Rita B and maybe the choices that were made by the couples were not the best... because the food wasnt all that good

But people on the forums rave about her food.

I'm not a big fan of Rita B catering either. I think she gets a lot of raves because she's local.

Two years ago, my work hired Rita B for Christmas party luncheon and we employees (there were only 5 of us) got to pick the food choices to serve at the party. I was pregnant at the time and I picked all the best ones! :killingme

Everyone was happy with the food choices we had at the party. Just thinking about the food made me

The food we picked and served were:

Cocktail Shrimps
Cheese and Crackers Platter
Chocolate Strawberries
Fruits and Veggies Platter
Cream Puffs
Lunch meats with rolls
Ginger Ale Punch that had red coloring in it
Meatballs
Little Lime Key cream bite sizes :yum:

What did you have?

At both weddings it was sliced ham, turkey, & roast beef and 3 or four sides and rolls and to be honest it was all things I could have prepared at home myself... green beans, some shrimp pasta salad that just tasted like mayo, scalloped potatoes that were ehh ok, and two other things that I cant recall so that tells you how good they were

No, we watched her fixed them all in the kitchen when she arrived with her employees.

The shrimps were in the coolers. Chocolate Strawberries were made in the kitchen with the chocolate fonton thing they have.

Fruits and Veggies were cut and prepared right in the kitchen. I watched them doing all of the work.

I was 7 1/2 months pregnant, and they threw me some food to eat while I watched.

I would call Thompson's seafood or Kevins Korner in Leonardtown. They have catered parties for work and the food was awsome.

Rita B's is ok - she's hit and miss.
Steve Morgan used to work for Paulie Thompson (Thompson's Catering); if he's out on his own, that's news to me.

My pick is and always will be Bailey's Catering. 301-475-2699.

Ok but can you yourself personally cut up fruits and veggies? can you put chocolate chips in a fountain and dip strawberries? Can you steam shrimp?

I have had Rita B about 7 times. Always been fried chicken. I thought they was all she cooked

Nope. But her basic menu is Fried Chicken, Stuff Ham and Roast Beef. She can pretty much cook anything you want, but if you pick crab balls or shrimp, she has someone dole it out to ya.
