I have been to two weddings that were catered by Rita B and maybe the choices that were made by the couples were not the best... because the food wasnt all that good :shrug:Anyone ever heard of these people, tried there food?

Any thoughts?
I'm not a big fan of Rita B catering either. I think she gets a lot of raves because she's local.I have been to two weddings that were catered by Rita B and maybe the choices that were made by the couples were not the best... because the food wasnt all that good

But people on the forums rave about her food.

What did you have? Two years ago, my work hired Rita B for Christmas party luncheon and we employees (there were only 5 of us) got to pick the food choices to serve at the party. I was pregnant at the time and I picked all the best ones!
Everyone was happy with the food choices we had at the party. Just thinking about the food made me![]()

The food we picked and served were:
Cocktail Shrimps
Cheese and Crackers Platter
Chocolate Strawberries
Fruits and Veggies Platter
Cream Puffs
Lunch meats with rolls
Ginger Ale Punch that had red coloring in it
Meatballs
Little Lime Key cream bite sizes![]()
SO you do realize that all that stuff was probably purchased already prepared right.
No, we watched her fixed them all in the kitchen when she arrived with her employees.
The shrimps were in the coolers. Chocolate Strawberries were made in the kitchen with the chocolate fonton thing they have.
Fruits and Veggies were cut and prepared right in the kitchen. I watched them doing all of the work.
I was 7 1/2 months pregnant, and they threw me some food to eat while I watched.![]()
That is what I assumed as well. The food at both the weddings was pretty bland. I heard she is inexpensive so that may play a part in things as well.
haha congrats on the wedding (im assuming its yours?) Im getting married next year- probably be about 150 people also. Ill let you know all the info once i get it![]()
Rita B's is ok - she's hit and miss.
Steve Morgan used to work for Paulie Thompson (Thompson's Catering); if he's out on his own, that's news to me.
My pick is and always will be Bailey's Catering. 301-475-2699.
