Catnip

happy to be living
So the cats were getting antsy tonight and Zuma started digging into a bag with a catnip toy I brought home for a Christmas gift for someone else's cat...also known as "kitty crack". Before he stole and destroyed the toy meant for another, I found some loose catnip in the well supplied "kitty drawer".

I sprinkled catnip on all the cat pods and resting spots for the world's five most spoiled cats. Immediately, Zuma and Seamus started boxing with each other; one on the top ledge; the other below. Lola sat in HER chair and dared anyone to come near her (they were in for an a$$whopping if they even come near her highnesses chair). Luther rolled around in it some and immediately passed out. He is the elder of the group (probably 10 y.o.) And Ivy is running around the house trying to figure out what to do with the buzz. She will likely be glued to me from the time I go to bed in a few moments (yawn) to the time my doggie alarms wake me in the morning. Ivy cat is special- she was literally starving when she jumped into my arms at the mail box. Appropriately named Ivy; as she was in a bed of poison ivy when I first spotted her. Thankfully, I am not allergic.
The dogs partook in the catnip buzz and both are passed out on the floor.
Spoke too soon...Luther is back for more LOL

My older kitty is gone now but the first time I gave it to her when she was little she literally climbed the walls! As soon as I would get the jar down off the shelf both cats would both start getting antsy and stand up on their hind legs trying to catch a whiff. I would give each their own scoop of it on opposite sides of the room and wait for hilarity to ensue. Cheap entertainment at its finest!
